The Junagadh district administration has prepared itself to deal with the cyclone named Biparjoy and this unexpected calamity. Disaster and Mangrol taluk officials have been ordered to stand by by the district administration in view of Biparjoy cyclone by the meteorological department. On the other hand, while the speed of the wind is increasing, the possibility of Biparjoy storm coming towards Gujarat is also being shown by the Meteorological Department, the people of the coastal areas have also been alerted due to the unexpected disaster of this storm. An action plan has also been prepared by the disaster and the control room has also been started.

Damodar Chamudia, president of Mahaveer Fishery Co-operative Society, said that due to the current stormy forecast, all the boats have been recalled and any remaining ones will be reported to the control. Fishing is closed for two months during the monsoon season.

In which from June 1 to August 1, fishermen are prohibited from plying the sea. During this time the sea becomes rough. And due to the monsoon season the rains are also high and due to which fishing is life threatening..Shamjibhai the fisherman said that at present the weather is normal at Mangrol port but taking into account the weather department’s forecast fishing has also been prohibited by the government. There are more than 1600 big boats and fiberglass i.e. small boats more than 1,000 here at Mangarol port. All the fishermen have anchored their boats and taken them to the shore as the fishing society president and the system forbid fishing due to the storm.
