The time limit of the notification issued by the Surat Police to control stray cattle on the road has been extended. A notification banning fodder given to stray cattle and cattle has been issued with a time limit of two months. Under which the cattle breeders have to register all their cattle under the Municipal Corporation within two months. Besides this, sale of fodder given to cattle on public roads, footpaths and public places has been banned.

Cattle owners should get the animal registered within two months
Surat City Police Commissioner Ajay Kumar Tomar has once again issued an advertisement for cattle owners. A special notification has been published for the owners of all cattle (cows, buffaloes, cattle etc.) living within the area under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Police, cowherds. Within 60 days of the publication of this announcement by the Commissioner of Police, all the cattle owned by them must be tagged and chipped by the Surat Municipal Corporation. It has been warned to get compulsory registration of their cattle.

Any change of ownership of cattle has to be reported
In addition, in case of a change of ownership of tagged and chipped cattle, i.e. if such registered cattle are sold, mortgaged, gifted, or inherited by the owner, the owner of the cattle shall report the same to the Surat Municipal Corporation. Similarly, even if a cattle dies, its owner has to report it to the Surat Municipal Corporation.

Ban on the public sale of cattle fodder
Apart from this, in the Surat city area under the rule of the Police Commission, it has been prohibited to sell fodder by any person on public roads, footpaths, and public places in the entire area and to feed and keep animals in public. This order will be effective from 16/04/2023 to 14/06/2023. A warning has also been given that violators of this order will be liable to punishment.
