Then the District Local Crime Branch seized 465 cartons of liquor worth Rs 23 lakh, which were being transported in a body truck belonging to Ahmedabad Bandh from Bharathana Tolanaka on Karajan Highway late at night. In this incident, the police found liquor and a truck and arrested the truck driver with a total worth of 33.23 lakh. This quantity of liquor was being brought from Haryana.

LCB staff set up a watch at Tolanaka
District Local Crime Branch PI. Giving information, Krunal Patel said that LCB staff was patrolling the limits of Karajan Police Station at night. Meanwhile, information was received that a closed body truck of Rajasthan Passing full of alcohol is coming from Bharuch towards Vadodara. Based on the information, the staff was instructed to set up a watch near Bharthana Tolanaka. Following the instructions, the staff personnel were deployed near the toll house.

A quantity of alcohol was found in the truck
In the meantime, when the information truck arrived, the police stationed on watch stopped the truck. After stopping the truck, 465 boxes of Indian-made liquor were found under the tarpaulin covering the truck with the driver. The police were also alerted when a large amount of liquor was found in the truck. The police seized the truck and detained the driver and took him to the Karjan police station. Counting the bottles from the liquor boxes, 9,948 liquor bottles were found.

Liquor was filled from Haryana
LCB P.I. Krunal Patel further said that while questioning the driver who was carrying the quantity of liquor, he said that his name was Subhash Vagokulram Godara and he was a resident of Rasisar Motawas in Rajasthan. Apart from this, while inquiring about the liquor, he said that Surendra Jat, a resident of Jajjar, Haryana, filled the quantity of liquor. This quantity of liquor was to reach Ahmedabad ring road and call Surendra. On the basis of the information given by Surendra, he confessed to deliver this liquor.

Complaint in Karjan Police Station
Regarding this incident, Anarm Head Constable Bhupatbhai lodged a complaint in the Karajan Police Station against the truck driver Subhash Godara, who was caught with liquor worth Rs 23 lakh. Karajan Police found liquor worth Rs 23,18,400, a mobile phone and a truck and seized the total worth of Rs 33,23,400.
