While major routes to the metro are closed for traffic, drivers have to take long detours on designated alternate routes for diversion. As the road is closed from the tower on the highway which is constantly busy, diversions have been declared to Zampa Bazar and Galamandi Road.
Both these roads have already proved to be narrow due to the pressures of food and beverage markets, while people have to come back to the highway after being extended on a diversion of about one and a half km, wasting people’s precious time and high rate of fuel.
People have to go ‘fari fari’ despite the completion of diversion time of Kapodra bridge operation
Detour to Nanpura from Chowk diversion to Adajan
As Chowk Bazar road is closed due to metro, drivers have to go from Kamalgali to Nanpura to Adajan. This situation is also on very busy roads like Pal, Bhatar, Kapodra, Ring Road and Atumavrata Dwar. People entering and returning from Kamrej Highway are facing problems even as the deadline for the diversion for the construction of the bridge in Kapodra is completed.
Pressure only on the diversion of Galamandi and Zampabazar
Even after a year and a half of closure of some roads by Metro, the barricades have not opened. Even in the rain, due to the pressure, people are sweating even in the long diversions that the Planning Department of Surat Traffic Police has given. Due to this problem, the eyebrows of diversion are proving to be like ‘Abhimnewa Kotha’ for the urbanites.
