Shetrunji dam of Palitana taluka of Bhavnagar district is more than 85 percent full. The level of Shetrunji dam has reached 31 feet 11 inches and still 2030 water inflow from upstream in Shetrunji dam has started so the level of the dam will increase further.

As many as 17 villages were alerted
17 villages under Shetrunji Dam have been alerted due to incessant flow from upstream. In which the people of the villages including Nani Rajsthali, Lapalia, Lakhawad, Maidhar, Mendha and Bhavnagar taluka of Palitana taluka, Janandali, Dantrad, Pingli, Timana, Shewalia, Royal, Makkariya, Talaja, Gorkhi, Liliwav, Tarsara and Sartanpar have been asked to be careful.

Dam only 2 feet empty
When the water is released to maintain the level in Shetrunji Dam, the official of the Irrigation Department said that no one should move in the river bed or in the bank area, the dam will overflow at 34 feet, so now only 2 feet of the dam is empty.

The level of Shetrunji Dam reached 31 feet 11 inches
Baldhia, the officer on duty at the dam said, while giving information, that there is continuous flow of water from the upstream, 8117 cusecs of water is coming in the early morning today at 3:45 am, uninterrupted flow of 2030 cusecs of water has started since 7 am due to which the surface of the dam is filled up to 31 feet 11 inches, thus, water inflow in Shetrunji dam has been stopped for three-four days. The party is starting.
