As many as 818 cases were reported in the month of June, while in July, as many as 697 cases have been handled in OPD Navsari Civil. About 25 cases per day are being registered in the eye hospital for the last ten days with symptoms like eye irritation, pain in the eye, watery discharge, pus. Due to the increasing number of conjunctivitis patients, doctors have advised that instead of self-treatment, one should take medicine following the doctor’s advice, so that the patient can recover quickly.
In this situation, people should not take precautions. Doctors say that this happens every season, if a person in the house has an eye infection, it can infect another person. In such a case, instead of treating yourself, you should get treatment from an eye doctor. Wash your hands frequently with soap. On the other hand, sales of eye drops have also increased now. Navsari Government Civil Hospital OPD is receiving about 25 cases daily.
Some patients become irresponsible and go to the medical store to take medicine by themselves or take medicine from other doctors without seeing an eye specialist doctor which is mostly steroids so that the eye can be damaged. Conjunctivitis which is the disease of eye coming lasts from 4 to 7 after which the eye inflammation subsides.
According to eye specialist Dr. Tushar Mehta, 105 cases of conjunctivitis have increased in the last 10 days. An increase in cases has been reported in 2 days. The symptoms of this disease are common in which all the people from young children to the elderly can get this disease in which the main symptoms are burning in the eye, morning stickiness, swelling. Avoid touching anything that a person with symptoms has come in contact with to avoid contracting the disease.
