In Vadodara, people were outraged by the black, yellow linseed-like water coming in Panigate and Wadi Chokhandi areas. In Vadodara, people are now forced to drink water that is black, yellow in color and contaminated with worms.

Corporation is providing linseed water to the people of Smart City Vadodara

The claims made by the Smart City administrators to provide clean and sufficient water before the onset of summer have proved hollow. People of different areas of the city including East area, Central area are suffering without water. The time has come for the people of the city to drink water that is black, yellow in color and contaminated with worms, despite paying water tax. There is a lot of anger among the people against the administrators who have set out to build a smart city without getting sufficient clean water to the citizens.

Water does not solve the problem
Panigate, Baranpura, Wadi Chokhandi areas of the city have been receiving contaminated water for the past one week. In which black colored and yellow colored water has become difficult for the people to drink and even to use the water properly. Not only this, the water with earthworms and insects is coming from the tap in many places. Epidemics are rife in areas where contaminated and pest-infested water flows. Representations have been made to local councilors several times by local people. But, the water issue is not solved.

Resentment among local people against the municipality

Complaints piled up daily
According to the information received, the corporation is receiving more than 7000 complaints daily about low water, black, yellow, polluted water coming in different areas of the city. But the corporation system is only interested in receiving complaints. But, not interested in redressal of complaints. When the citizens go to the ward offices with the issue of water, the employees-rights are giving extravagant answers.

Valves for water in the central area
Kumudabehan Garge, a resident of Jasud Mahola, said that people are forced to drink contaminated water as complaints are not resolved promptly. And due to drinking contaminated water, people suffer from diseases. In some places the situation is aggravated by the close proximity of old pipe lines and drainage lines. Baranpura Jasud Mohalla, Panigate Bawamanpura, Taiwada Khatripol, Wadi Rangmahal, Goya Darwaza Harijanwas etc. areas of the city have been receiving dirty water for the past one week.

Alsiya appeared in the water
The local residents had complained to the corporation about black sewage coming from the last two days. However, no action has been taken. Not only that, today four to five earthworms came out from the water tap of a house in Baranpura Jasud Mohalla. So black water is coming in some areas of the city. People are forced to drink sold water without getting clean water. Instead of solving the water problem, the corporation is giving advice to boil water and drink it.
