In the cowshed of Sector-30 managed by Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation, against the capacity of approximately 400 cows, about 1200 cows are being kept in bins and there is a clamor among the cattle owners that three to four animals are dying every day. As a result of which, today the cow guards went to the cattle box of Sector-30 and demanded the treatment of the sick cows and action against the responsible officer-employees under the Cruelty Act.

There has been a complaint among the cattle owners that more than the capacity of animals are kept in cattle bins of Sector-30 managed by Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation and the health of animals is not taken care of in addition to proper cleaning. It is being alleged that three to four animals are dying in the cattle yard here. Then today the cow guards tried to know the real situation by going to the cattle box of Sector-30. However, the matter heated up for a while when the officer-in-charge and security personnel stopped the cow guards from entering.

Regarding this, cow guard Manish Kotecha said that more than 1200 cows have been kept in the cages here against the capacity of 400. Most of the cows, bullocks, bulls or calves caught are sick.

Three months ago, when the cow servants visited this cage (cattle box), the dire situation of the cow mother was seen. There was no isolation unit for treating sick cows. Also there was no separate food-water system for sick cows. In this matter, proper action was given by the municipal administration. After three months, when I visited the cattle shed again, the situation was dire. Following which complained to the Governor.

The Governor also visited the cattle shed and gave suggestions to increase the capacity of the cattle shed and take proper care of the cows. Today again when the gausevaks visited Panjarapol, the responsible officer stopped them from entering. Not only that, it was also banned to carry mobile phones in Panjarapol. Hence, the miserable condition of Panjarapol was improved, the sick were treated, otherwise action was taken against the officer, Gandhi threatened to start a movement along the Chindhya route.
