In Karnataka, Kamakumar Nandi Muni, a member of the Jain community, was brutally murdered. The Jain Samaj had submitted a petition to the Ahmedabad District Collector regarding this. The Jain leaders came with black bands on their hands. This includes MLA Kaushik Jain from Daryapur.
In this petition, the Jains demanded that a special police task force be formed to investigate the incident, charge sheets be filed against the culprits within 05 to 06 weeks, the case be tried in a fast track court and death penalty be awarded to the accused. An ordinance should be promulgated throughout the country that the security of Jain sages should be taken care of by the police wherever they roam.
The Jains demanded that their petition be conveyed to the Prime Minister and the President. He sent a copy of this application letter to President Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi and Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
It is worth mentioning that Parswanath Jain Ashram was founded by Muni Kam Kumar Nandi in Chikkodi district of Karnataka. who lived there for 15 years. Where on July 6-7, some people forcibly entered his ashram. Tamaj Jain thrashed Muni. Then the dismembered body of Jain Muni was found. Regarding this, anger is being seen among the Jains of the entire country.
