50 officers and more than 500 police personnel of Junagadh district will hold a flag march in different routes of the Rath Yatra to be held in the city of Junagadh. 500 police personnel including DYSP, PI PSI will join the arrangements of the Rath Yatra.
Junagadh Range IG Mayanksinh Chawda said that a flag march was organized by the Junagadh Police along with all the police to prevent any untoward incident in the city due to the Rath Yatra of Jagannathji which is about to leave in Junagadh. In which flag march was organized today at different sensitive areas of Junagadh Rath Yatra, heritage area and main roads of the city and as a part of preparation of Rath Yatra flag march was organized with police. And this year drone camera will also be used in Rath Yatra of Jagannathji. Due to which the drone camera was also tested today. Also, CCTVs have also been set up separately this year in the Rath Yatra routes of the city. Besides, body worn cameras provided by the government will also be given to the police personnel. So that if any untoward incident takes place regarding this Rath Yatra, all the recordings will be with the police. Also, combing is also currently being done by different teams of police in different areas of the city. Steps are being taken by the Junagadh Police to ensure that the Rath Yatra of Jagannathji to be held in Junagadh is completed in a peaceful atmosphere.
Junagadh SP Ravi Teja Wasam Shetty said around 500 police personnel and 50 police officers were on foot patrol in the sensitive area in Junagadh city. At present the situation in Junagadh is completely under control peacefully and people can go about their business during festivals.
