Unabated pressures in Vishwamitri have caused floods. After the 2019 floods, experts have suggested action to identify the top 10 pressures in rivers and ravines. According to the research, in 16 years, the risk of flooding has increased due to the disappearance of gorges due to illegal constructions in the river.
In the re-imaging program of Team Vadodara, Prof. Neha Sarawate and Dr. Arjunsingh Mehta on the issue of regeneration of Vishwamitri alerted the officials about the river pressure, flood situation and damage from the riverfront. Due to the lack of coordination of various departments of the municipality, along with illegal construction and dumping of debris at 10 places on the river, the ponds have been completely constructed. Environmentalist Dr. Arjunsingh Mehta said that building a riverfront on Vishwamitri will prove to be a big mistake.

The researchers took satellite pictures of Bhimnath Lake and Mangal Pandey Road. In which the pictures of Bhimnath Lake were taken in 2000, 2007, 2015, 2016. On the other hand, Mangal Pandey took pictures of 2013 when there were shacks on the road before, 2015, 2016 when the shacks were removed. In which construction is done, greenery seems to have disappeared.
