Which was recognized by the University on 02 June. But on June 17, the university reversed its decision and asked the college to grant admission.

It was submitted by the petitioner’s counsel that the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has issued a notice to the petitioner to immediately carry out the repair work of the college building. As per the rules of the corporation, the organization submitted the structural audit report of the building. In which also the government approved structural engineer gave a report for immediate repair of the college building. Photographs of the dilapidated building of the college were also produced by the petitioner in the High Court.

Looking at the issue, the court noted that the order passed on June 17, reversing the decision taken by the university on June 02, does not seem justified. Hence, the court has given notice to the university and set the returnable date on July 14. At this time the High Court CU Shah Gujarat University’s June 17 order granting interim relief to the foundation has been stayed.

It is worth mentioning that it is located on Ashram Road in Ahmedabad CU Shah Gujarat University decided not to allocate students to the college for the year 2023-24 on the application of CU Shah Foundation due to dilapidation of the college building. But student organizations protested under the guise of dilapidated buildings alleging that the authorities have devised a scheme to prevent bright students from getting admission in CU Shah College on the basis of merit and to benefit private colleges.
