Indian Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in Narmada district during 11th and 12th June 2023. According to which Light to moderate rain with thunder and wind speed of approximately 30-40 kmph is expected in Narmada district till June 12 and 13.

The District Disaster Management Department has issued guidelines that farmers must take some precautionary measures in view of the forecast of heavy rains in the district. In which all the Taluka Nodal Officers have been asked to coordinate with the concerned Mamlatdar, Taluka Development Officer of their allotted Talukas for harvesting of vegetables and horticulture crops, shifting of prepared produce, fodder to safe place, keeping the quantity of farm produce at APMC or purchase center and other godowns safe. To ensure that no untoward incident takes place, he has been asked to coordinate with the officials of the concerned department and arrange necessary arrangements for vigilance. Also, District Disaster Management has been requested to contact immediately when any untoward incident occurs in your area.
