Kanubhai Barot, a 72-year-old senior citizen living in Ranip area of ​​Ahmedabad, has filed a special civil application in the Gujarat High Court through advocate Dharmesh Gurjar in the Gujarat High Court regarding the noise pollution spread during festivals.

Mental as well as physical distress due to noise
As Kanubhai Barot is 72 years old, he is suffering from many physical ailments. Then in various festivals celebrated in their society like Navratri, Ganesh Chaturthi, Janmashtami etc. loud speakers are installed and loud noise is made till late hours so that they are disturbed. Such noise causes mental as well as physical distress to children, pregnant women and the elderly.

Threatened to leave the house while submitting to the committee
He complained about this to the managing committee of the society and was threatened to leave the house. Apart from this, Kanubhai also informed the police but to no avail. Kanubhai also submitted to the GPCB-Gujarat Pollution Control Board. Kanubhai has filed an application in the Gujarat High Court without getting any support from anywhere. This kind of noise pollution is a violation of the Supreme Court directive and the announcement of the Ahmedabad City Police Commissioner. Hence, senior cities have demanded that the authority be directed to take action.

The hearing will be held in the High Court on June 20
A further hearing on this case will be held on June 20 in the court of Gujarat High Court Acting Chief Justice AJ Desai and Biren Vaishnav. The court then issued a notice to the government and the GPCB on the issue and ordered them to submit their reply on 20th. It is worth mentioning that there have been petitions in the High Court earlier for more sound made by DJs during Azan and weddings. That case is also ongoing. Along with this case, the hearing of the three cases will be held in the High Court on June 20.
