- Ganibhan Thakor Said SP Suppresses Congress Workers With Political Gestures, SP Said ‘Police Does Not Work On The Basis Of Any Religion, Caste Or Party’

The matter has heated up over a tweet addressed to the district police chief of Banaskanthana Congress MLA Ganibhan Thakor. The Banaskantha SP along with two other Congress MLAs and former MLAs today filed a complaint at the Banaskantha Collector’s office after tweeting that they were harassing Congress workers with political gestures. If proper action is not taken in this matter in the next few days, Jailbharho threatened to go to jail. On the other hand, the SP said that the police does not operate on the basis of any religion, caste or party.
A tweet was made by Ganibhan accusing the police
The act was tweeted on July 2 by Congress MLA Ganibhan Thakor from Vav. Addressing the people of Vav and Tharad, it was written that the Banaskantha SP is misusing the power to oppress the Congress workers and thus the people under political guise. Then the time is ripe to fight against it in the Gandhi Chindhya way.
On Monday, three MLAs of the Congress reached to submit the application
Congress leaders including former MLA Raghu Desai and Gulab Singh Rajput, along with former MLAs Raghu Desai and Gulab Singh Rajput, along with Vav MLA Ganibhan Thakor, Patan MLA Kirit Patel and Kankrej MLA, reached the collector’s office to submit a petition, alleging that the Banaskantha police were acting on political motives.
Congress had to make a presentation on this case
A case of alcohol was registered by the police on 18 May 2023 at Mavasari Police Station, Banaskantha. In which the name of the former president of Vav Taluka Congress and the current president of Banaskantha District Kisan Congress Thakarsibhai Versibhai Rabari was also revealed. The Congress has alleged that he has been falsely implicated due to political pressure and at the behest of DySP Varotaria.
Congress leaders are falsely accused – Ganibhan
Ganibhan Thakor said that we have presented to the Collector as a part of how to stop the false cases against the Congress leaders so that the public can get relief from the police brutality. We have presented to DGP, Collector, Chief Minister but no action is being taken. In the near future we will formulate a strategy and start the Jailbhara movement.

Police act with neutrality and failure- SP
After the allegations of the Congress, Banaskantha SP Akshayraj Makwana said that a total of 5 FIRs have been registered against Thakarshibhai Rabari from 2005 to 2023. In the last FIR that was registered, the police have acted in the same manner as other accused. He was arrested and produced in court. The remand was granted by the court. Apart from this, the accused is charged against the offense of quality prohibition. This case is also related to quality prohibition, the police has sent the case to the collector. Police are not harassing any party workers but are acting neutrally and impartially.
