Sabarkantha district has received rain everywhere in the last 24 hours. Rains from 5 mm to 119 mm have been recorded then. At that time, four and a half inches of rain fell in Talod and three inches in Prantij in four hours, flooding the low-lying areas.

The details regarding this are that, between 2 pm and 6 pm, four and a half inches of rain fell in Talod and flooded the low lying areas. Talod’s market yard and the roof area behind it were flooded. Bazar Road from Tower Road to Ambaji Mandir was also flooded. So the service road around the new railway overbridge was filled with water due to potholes.

Due to which the locals had to suffer for hours. So in rural areas around Talod, fields were flooded. Three inches of rain in the province led to inundation of low-lying areas along the approach road. Vijayanagar received 1/4 inch of rain, Sheena received one inch of rain, Wadali, KhedBrahma and Himmatnagar received 1/5 inch of rain each and Idar received light showers.

Due to rains, 350 cusecs of water has been recorded in Hatmati reservoir of Sabarkantha district, 80 cusecs of water in Harnao reservoir, 332 cusecs of water inflow and 332 cusecs of water outflow in Jawanpura barrage, 100 cusecs of water inflow and 100 cusecs of water outflow in Gorthia barrage.

KhedBrahma 21 mm, Vijayanagar 33 mm, Wadali 21 mm, Idar 5 mm, Himmatnagar 14 mm, Prantij 74 mm, Talod 119 mm and Poshi 26 mm have received rainfall in the district in the last 24 hours.

In two hours from 6 am to 8 am in the district today, five out of eight talukas, Idar 01 mm, Himmatnagar 12 mm, Prantij 31 mm, Talod 24 mm and Poshi 05 mm of rain.
