A fire broke out in an open plot near Navjivan Circle on Udhna Magdalla Road in Surat. The fire in the goods including wood had taken a ferocious form. Due to which an atmosphere of chaos was created. On being informed about this, the fire brigade reached the spot and brought the fire under control.

There is an open plot of Brijesh Gaurav Lal Jaswani in Shantinath Mill Lane near Navjeevan Circle. He has been doing the work of senting for the past 40 years. When the goods arrive from different sites, they are placed in this plot and taken from there. In the meantime, after catching fire in things including grass, wooden supports and planks also caught fire and the entire fire took a ferocious form. According to Brijesh Jaswani, more than 50,000 items are estimated to have been burnt.
