The police investigation has revealed that the former collector of Gandhinagar, Langa, had settled properties in the name of the families of a number of scammers during his tenure. However, since Langa has sent his family abroad, the police are struggling to solve the black money issue.
Former Congress leader Balwant Gadhvi has started a rice mill in partnership with Langa’s son Parikshit. The police interrogated Balwant Gadhvi and also took Langa along. During the remand, the police found that Langa had settled properties including land, house, shop in the name of his son, daughter-in-law and wife. Also invested huge amount in partnership with different people. Two numbers of accounts have been revealed from Langa’s diary, but Langa is hiding the facts from the police.
Inquiring of Langa’s family members is also necessary to get details of Langa’s source of income and investment. However, the police investigation revealed that Langa had sent his family abroad. Police believe that Langa also visited foreign countries to set up the family abroad. Langa is said to have invested in countries from the Middle East to Europe. The police are trying to get the details of which countries Langa invested in to set up the family abroad.
Police have found six SIM cards from Langa. The police has conducted an exercise to collect information related to the phone number using its IMSI number. The police is trying to get the CDR of all these SIM cards. With the help of CDR, the police have made efforts to trace the persons in contact with Long.
The secret of the codeword is not yet revealed
Police have examined a number of witnesses to gather evidence against Langa. The names written in the codeword have been revealed in response to the accused and witnesses. Names written in codewords were also found in Langa’s diary. The police have deciphered some of the codewords and are questioning those persons. But not everyone in the codeword has yet been identified.
