Due to the incessant rain since last night, the roads were waterlogged, leaving motorists stranded. Intermittent rains since last night led to waterlogging, causing havoc for motorists who had to wade through water on roads.

Heavy rain has been predicted in Gujarat till July 10. It has been raining non-stop since last night in Ahmedabad. So this morning even early morning it is drizzling in the city. Water is flowing on the roads in Vastrapur, Satellite, Shivaranjani, Sola, Sindhubhan, Makarba and other areas of the city due to slow rains. People have got relief from the heat as the rain cools the atmosphere. On the other hand, people are suffering due to flooding in low lying areas.

Half to two inches of rain fell in the city
According to the forecast of the meteorological department in the state, the city of Ahmedabad has been receiving torrential rain for the last two days. After staying overnight in the city last night, it rained in the early morning as well. About one and a half inches of rain fell in areas including Naroda, Sardarnagar, Kotarpur, Noblenagar, Kubernagar, Vatwa, Vatwa GIDC, Ghodasar, Narol in the eastern region.

Heavy distress to motorists who get stuck in road water
Besides, about an inch of rain fell in Memco, Saijpur, Naroda Road, Ranip, New Ranip, Chandkheda, Maninagar, Kankaria areas. Along with this, half an inch of rain fell in areas including Gota, Chandalodia, Science City, Usmanpura, Wadaj, Incometax, Kathwara.​​​​​​​​​​ Apart from this, the motorists had to face a lot of hardship as the roads were covered in water.
