District level celebration of 9th International Yoga Day was held at Sidsar Sports in Bhavnagar early this morning. In which a large number of citizens joined and did yoga.

MP Dr. Bhartibehan Shial said in her address that yoga is a priceless gift given to the world by the ancient civilization of India. Yoga is the tradition of sages. Which is accepted by the whole world today. Yoga means to connect, Yoga connects the body, mind and soul. Ashtanga Yoga is our ancient heritage.

He further added that the Prime Minister’s proposal to celebrate Yoga Day in the United Nations has been accepted by the whole world to celebrate International Yoga Day on 21st June every year. The whole world becomes Yogami on 21st June by embracing the benefits of this tradition of Indian culture. Keeping in mind the theme of International Yoga Day G-20, One Earth, One Health, this year the state is celebrating this year with the slogan “Ek Prithvi Ek Swasthya” with the theme “Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” and “Yoga at Har Gharani Angane”. .
