Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Ministry of Education, Government of India and directed by Pune Regional Office organized the Zone Level Basketball Tournament at Aliabada Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Jamnagar on 11th July. In the opening ceremony of the tournament, MP Poonamben Madam was a special presence and wished the children well. Selected children of Navodaya Vidyalayas from Gujarat, Maharashtra, Diu, Daman and Goa areas have participated in this three-day sports festival.

MP Poonamben Madam praised the results, system, arts, abilities of the children and inspired the children to prepare for nation building. All were guided by Mahendrapal Singh, Principal of the Vidyalaya. In the opening ceremony, arts such as Garba and Pyramid were also exhibited by the children.

Ex-student Dr. as a special guest in this ceremony. Mittal Patel, Jamanbhai Dabhi, Nirmanalbhai Upadhyay etc. were present from the parent teacher council. At the end of the program, a vote of thanks was done by the senior teacher of the school, Sobaran Singh. Vidyalaya’s English teacher Jayantilal Kantia played an important role in coordinating the programme. Escorts, school children, teachers, canteen staff, physical education teachers, judges and all other employees have made an important contribution to make this program beautiful. It has been stated by the principal of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya.
