Voting for the election of Board of Directors of Sabarkantha District Central Co-operative Bank was held at 12 booths in Himmatnagar Himmat High School on Sunday from 8 am to 3 pm amid tight police presence. In the Sabarkantha Bank election, 12 out of 18 seats were previously declared uncontested. While 813 out of 849 voters voted for the seats during the election held for 6 directors. When 6 votes were cancelled. 6 directors were declared winners after the counting of votes at 4 pm. In which three candidates with BJP mandate were defeated. Due to which there were dark repercussions in local politics. The winning candidates and their supporters celebrated the victory by flying Abeel Gulal bushes.

There was a heat in local politics after the notification for the election of the Board of Directors of Sabarkantha District Central Co-operative Bank Ltd., which is considered to be the leader of Sabarkantha and Aravalli districts. However, 12 directors were declared uncontested in the election of 18 directors. However, polling for 6 principals started at Himmat High School from 8 am on Sunday at 12 polling stations amid tight police presence. Since early morning, the candidates along with their supporters had reached the polling station with the voters. The polling started at 8 am and ended at 3 pm. Out of a total of 849 voters, 813 voters voted.

In Sabarkantha District Central Co-operative Bank elections, BJP announced the mandate and launched its candidates in the election fray. However, some members of the BJP ignored the mandate of the party and kept the candidature unchanged and raised a revolt against the candidate holding the mandate of the BJP. District BJP President J.D. Patel took serious note of this and suspended eight members from active and primary membership for six years. Due to which a political earthquake was created in the local politics. However, the rebel candidates made a strong push to convince the electorate to vote in their favour. After voting at Himmat High School at 4 pm, the vote counting process was conducted and the election results were declared. In which the winning candidates were felicitated by their supporters by garlanding them.
