The cyclone that has formed in the southeast Arabian Sea has been named Beeparjoy by the Meteorological Department. According to the Meteorological Department, the cyclone is now 1,000 km west of the sea coast of Porbandar. Due to the storm, two number signals have been put up at all the ports of the state including Porbandar. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility that the sea will become rough due to Biperjoy storm. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea due to the possibility of rough seas due to strong winds.

Boats rock in the harbour
If we talk about Porbandar district, from Madhavpur to Miani, it has a long coastline of 110 km. At present, all the boats have been anchored in the harbor area due to vacation till August 1 in the fishing season across the state. However, Porbandar’s total number of small and large boats is around 5,000. At present, boat wrecks are being seen in the old port area and Subhashnagar area. At that time, following the forecast of the Meteorological Department, Porbandar Fisherman Boat Association has also advised all the boat owners and fishermen to park their boats and boats in a safe place. Mukesh Panjari, President of Porbandar Fishermen’s Boat Association said.

Signal number 2 has been put up at all the ports across the state, including Porbandar, following the forecast of the Meteorological Department. At that time signal number 1 was installed by GMB yesterday at Porbandar port, but signal number 2 has been installed at night based on the advice of Meteorological Department. A signal number 2 means that there is a storm at sea and ships may encounter a force after leaving port.

Cyclone Beeperjoy, which originated in the Arabian Sea, is currently 1 thousand kilometers away from Porbandar, but the effect of this Beeperjoy storm is not seen in the sea of ​​Porbandar, as the sea is normal. A storm has formed in the Arabian Sea following the forecast of the Meteorological Department. According to which, under the guidance of the Porbandar Collector, the district administration has given necessary instructions to the public to be vigilant during the storm.
