The impact of Cyclone Bporjoy was seen on Tithal Beach in Valsad district on Saturday evening. Valsad’s Tithal beach has been closed for visitors till June 14 as part of vigilance by the Valsad district administration. At high tide on Saturday evening, winds gusted in excess of 18 km/h offshore. A team of NDRF has been dispatched to Valsad from Vadodara in view of the possibility of high speed winds in the coming days. Which arrived at Valsad Engineering College today.

A strong wind was blowing along the sea coast. On normal days, the wind blows along the coast at a speed of 6 kmph. Winds were seen blowing at a speed of 18 km today. Due to which the green net constructed by the lorry operators was seen flying at Tithal Beach. According to Valsad Meteorological Department, wind was seen blowing from West South direction. The Meteorological Department has advised people to be vigilant. Strong currents were observed at Tithal Beach at high tide along the line of storm Bporjoy. The administrative system of Valsad is in constant contact with the sarpanchs and leaders of the 28 villages of the district and is keeping a close eye on the sea breezes and all things.
