Regarding the gross negligence in the work of Rajkot-Ahmedabad Six Lane Highway, the Congress today submitted a letter of complaint to the District Collector and formed an SIT (Investigation Committee) demanding action against the responsible agencies and the engineers and officials supervising the work. State Congress Vice President Gayatriba Vaghela said that due to the chaos, corruption, mineral theft and potholes in the Ahmedabad highway renovation project, many accidents are causing traffic problems. Despite several review meetings of the Chief Ministers of the state, the agencies working on this road and the engineers of the government department responsible for this work, apart from the employees, do not meet the government, due to which the inexcusable negligence in the project is glaring.

When the cost of vehicle maintenance, petrol, diesel increases by 15 to 40% due to bad road work, why is the work not completed despite the delay in this work? Also who is liable for defects in work? He has raised the demand to form an inquiry committee to investigate the issues including this.
Ward No-15 by-election, voting on 6th August and result on 8th August
Two seats are vacant in Ward No-15 of Rajkot Municipal Corporation. Two Congress corporators named Washram Sagathia and Komalben Bharai, who joined ‘AAP’, filed a petition to disqualify them. Subsequently, by-elections have been announced for these two vacant seats. The date for this election to be held on 6th August. The form will be filled from 10 to 22 July and verification of the form on 24 July and withdrawal of the form can be done till 25 July. Then on August 6, voting will be held for this by-election. And the results will be declared on 8th August. At present BJP is ruling in 68 seats out of total 72 seats. Then it remains to be seen whether these two seats will also go to BJP or not.
Prospective lawyers exam canceled for Rajkot centre
The Bar Council of India has made an official announcement regarding the cancellation of the Rajkot center examination for prospective lawyers. It has also been assured that the exam will be conducted again soon. In the All India Level Bar Exam conducted by the Bar Council of India, which is mandatory for the practice of advocacy, the result of the Rajkot center was stopped due to irregularities in the examination at the Rajkot center. After which it was decided to cancel the examination of all the four centers of Rajkot. Fees will not be charged in subsequent examinations. The examination cancellation notification of all the four centers in Rajkot states that the candidates who have appeared at the centers are entitled to appear in the upcoming All India Bar Examination without charging any examination fee. But the fee waiver rule will not apply to candidates who were absent, the Bar Council of India notification said.
