The United Nations has decided to celebrate this year as the International Millet Year, following the Prime Minister’s advocacy to promote the cultivation and use of India’s traditional farm produce. The main purpose of which is to change diet, change life, adopt millet and make life healthy.
To achieve this objective, the Integrated Child Development Scheme in Khambhalia organized a joint initiative of Khambhalia Constituent-1 and 2 at the Zilla Panchayat Bhawan auditorium. In which a competition of various dishes made from millet was held.
The program was organized under the chairmanship of Taluka Panchayat President Ramdebhai Karamur and CDPO. It was done under the guidance of Prajnaben Rawal. In which District Development Officer S.D. Dhanani was present.
In the millet dish competition, the first three dishes were judged by the members of Project Tushti as judges, taking into account the nutritional value of the ingredients. In which dignitaries encouraged the winning sisters by giving them certificates and gifts. All the activist sisters who participated were also encouraged.
Taluka Development Officer Sheikh, Taluka Member Vijaybhai Nandania, Medical Officer Dr. Khushaliben Chauhan and the staff of District and Taluka ICDS were also present.
