Surat City and BRTS are constantly at loggerheads over bus accidents. Then today BRTS bus caused another accident. After the bus driver overtook, the bus rammed into the BRTS bus stand from the side when it lost control. Passengers in the bus were later injured after being thrown.

​​​​​​​Deepakbhai Bahadur Bhai Chauhan (age 34) said that he works as a security guard in a diamond company in Ichchapore. He sat in the bus from Magdalla to go to work in the morning. The bus driver overtook the other bus and lost control of the steering and rammed the bus full of passengers from the side into the VR Mall BRTS bus stand. In which, four passengers in the bus were injured when they jumped in the air and hit the pipe inside the bus.

It was further said that there was a stampede due to the accident. The bus driver got off the bus and started talking on the phone. Subsequently, two of the four injured were sent to civil for treatment. However, the bus stand was heavily damaged in the accident, while the other injured person was identified as Kaniya Brijlal Vishwakarma.
