- 39 crores increased in the one and a half month running of the municipal scooty
Sea-Face Development, an ambitious project to develop the Dumas seafront area, is now in full swing. After a tender was issued by the city engineer cell of the municipality, two agencies showed interest for eco-tourism development and both the agencies submitted their respective offers to the municipality.
After receiving the tender, only one and a half months have passed in the document verification of scrutiny, both the agencies have been qualified. Now in the next few days, the standing committee will finalize the reforms from deciding the agency. 39 crores more than the estimate of 137.72 crores approved by the rulers.
176 crore lowest offer
Tenders were floated in April for eco-tourism components and 5 years of operation, with two agencies qualified after a month and a half. Among these, the lowest-1 M.P. 176.70 crore from Baria, Vadodara and 184.45 crore from Cube Construction, Surat.
1.22 lakh sq. meters of land was found
Municipal Commissioner Shalini Aggarwal has allocated 1,22,755 sq.mtrs and 120 mtrs d.p. to suit the project for speedy acquisition of government space. The alignment of the road was laid and possession of the government land was handed over to the municipality in constant coordination with the Collector. So now this ambitious project can go ahead fast.
