As many as 135 people died in the Morby Bridge disaster. In which the police arrested about 10 accused. Two clerks are also involved in this matter. who had sold tickets to Morby Bridge at the time of the incident. A bail application was filed in the Gujarat High Court today by these two clerks.

A bail application was filed in the Gujarat High Court by Clerk Mahadev Solanki and Mansukh Topia in Judge Sameer Dave’s court by lawyer B.B. Naik. The petitioner’s counsel submitted to the High Court that the petitioner had given the ticket as per the instructions of the authority.

300 tickets were given in the temptation to earn more money
The petitioners alleged that only 100 people were allowed to go on the Morbi swing bridge at a time but by black marketing the tickets, the accused gave 300 tickets to earn more than their salary. About 400 people were present on the bridge during this incident.

Further hearing will be held on June 09
It may be mentioned that the suspension bridge of Morbi on Macchu river broke on October 30, 2022. In the same case, the High Court has already granted bail to three security guards of the bridge because they were not directly involved in the incident. The High Court has issued a notice to the state government in this matter. A copy of the land application of the accused has been asked to be provided to the lawyers of the victims, Rahul Sharma and Utkarsh Dave. Further hearing on this issue will be held on June 09.
