The 41st Rath Yatra, which was started 40 years ago in Modasa town, is going to be held this year. Then Balaknath temple of Modasa, the largest and legendary temple in Aravalli district, has started preparations in full swing by the temple trust.
On Ashadhi Bija, Lord Jagannath, brother Balaram and sister Subhadra will go on a Nagar Yatra. Meanwhile, preparations are being finalized for the 41st Rath Yatra, which will start at Modasa in Aravalli district. Rath Yatra Utsav Samiti has cleaned the chariot at Balakdasji Temple. Special colorful waghas have been prepared for Lord Jagannathji, brother Balaram and sister Subhadra.
Last year, the Rath Yatra route was shortened from Balakdasji Temple to Saraswati Balmandir by four roads, Meghraj Road to Pawan City to Kalyan Chowk, four roads, bus stand, Kadiyawala and back to the temple on a new route. Due to which there was resentment among the devotees. Considering this, as per the tradition of years, it has been decided to conduct the Rath Yatra this year from Gandhiwada, Soniwada, Dabgar Wada, Vinayak Talkies, Nandanvan to Kumbharwada to Sagarwada as per last year’s route. Prasad of more than 200 kg of mug, more than 120 kg of jambu will be distributed to the devotees in the Rath Yatra. 2 Chariots of Lord Jagannath, 1 Buggy, 2 DJs, 5 Horsemen, 3 Teams in costume, Akhara, Bhajan Mandali will be the main attractions in Rath Yatra.
