While Ahmedabad University is charging Rs 16 lakh fee for B.Com studies, NSUI today protested by visiting Ahmedabad University. As the gate of the university was closed, NSUI workers jumped the gate and reached Ahmedabad University. Ramdhun was called and slogans raised in Ahmedabad University.

The university was besieged for fee reduction
NSUI president Narendra Solanki said that private universities have started under the government’s rule. Which is charging lakhs of rupees fee. As schools have FRC to regulate fees, universities need to have FRC to regulate fees. Ahmedabad University charges lakhs of rupees fee even for normal course, we oppose it and we have surrounded Ahmedabad University to reduce the fee.

Univ. Opposed to privatisation
Ahmedabad University is charging more than 16 lakhs for general courses like BCom. The NSUI had staged a rally against the university charging fees of lakhs of rupees. A rally was held from the gate of Sept University to the admin office of Ahmedabad University with slogans. They raised slogans against privatization and against Ahmedabad University. With banners in hand, the rally reached the gate of Ahmedabad University.

Admission to the Univ after clashes with the police
Although the gate of Ahmedabad University was closed and the police were outside, NSUI activists clashed with the police and jumped the gate of the university and reached inside. 16 lakh fee was given a 48 hour ultimatum and asked to reduce the fee.
