Monsoon has officially started in Patan city. Before the monsoon, the Patan municipality had prepared a pre-monsoon plan and made a provision to spend within the limit of five lakhs to clean the underground and rainwater drainage pipelines so that the city’s drains and canals are not filled with rainwater and the people do not face problems. But this type of work is not seen in any canal of the city or any place where such waterlogging problem occurs. As a result of which the condition of the area which becomes very alarming even in meager rainfall, cleaning of the canals of the society areas around and behind Gundi Lake or removing the roads and obstructions or pressures or clearing the garbage filled in the canals resulted in the loss of lives due to re-flooding of these areas. Going.

Just on Wednesday night, after the first official rain of monsoon, the societies of Gungdi area of Patan were flooded. The situation is worse than that from Patan’s Gayatri Mandir Road to GEB. Waterworks and canals near overbridges and canals. Due to heavy rain, the rain water coming from the front of this canal did not find a way to go to Gungadi lake, water rose from the canal and returned to the road. This canal has been completed and arrangements were made years ago by laying a pipe from the canal near this bridge to Gungdi lake. And later these canals or drains are not seen in today’s pressures.

Also the water coming from the front is made to pass under the highway and brought to the drain. Even the drain is now filled with bushes and garbage. And along with it, the pipes laid in place of the Gungadi canal are also filled with soil, so the rainwater cannot pass through them, and the vehicles coming to the city from the highway are facing a lot of trouble as the rainwater fills the road. If the Patan Municipality cleans this canal and pipe line immediately and arranges to resume the natural flow of water, waterlogging will not occur during rains.
