A young cyclist from Karambela, who was passing on Valwala highway of Umargam taluka of Valsad district, was hit by a moped driver coming from behind and caused an accident. In which the moped driver died on the spot. Local people informed about the incident and with the help of 108, the injured cyclist was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. A cyclist lodged a complaint against a moped driver at Bhilad police station.
Satyam Rang Bahadur Sharma, 20, a resident of Karambela, was returning home on a bicycle from his job as a helper at the Royal Industries Hub at Nahuli when the driver of a moped No. GJ 15 BS 5519 hit the moped at full speed and recklessly near Sai Petroleum on Valvada Highway. Hankari Lavi hit Satyam Bhai’s bicycle, causing an accident. In the accident, Satyam Bhai got stuck in the grass growing on the side, while the moped driver Manav Kumar Jitendrabhai Patel was thrown on the highway along with the moped. The moped driver suffered serious head injuries and died on the spot. Satyam Bhai sustained leg and shoulder injuries in the accident. Regarding the incident, the cyclist Satyam Sharma has filed a complaint against the moped driver Manavkumar Jitendrabhai Patel at the Bhilad police station. Bhilad police have registered a complaint and are conducting further investigation.
