Due to the water released from the upriver, a water-bombing situation has occurred in the villages of Ghed sub-division of Porbandar district. At present, the roads and fields of about 22 villages of Ghed area are seen submerged in water. Then Porbandar MLA Arjun Modhwadia visited Ghed area.

Arjun Modhwadia visited the villages including Nawagam, Chikasa, Madhavpur and Mulmadhavpur of Ghed Panthak and inspected the situation and interacted with the local leaders and villagers to get a sense of the situation.

Arjun Modhwadia said that while the Ghede area is under water for the last ten days, arrangements should be made to provide fodder and assistance to the farmers and herdsmen and to provide the necessary assistance to the flood-affected people on an immediate basis. Also, Modhwadia requested the state government to deepen and widen the river-canals so that the water can be disposed off properly.
