Municipal Commissioner of Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan today on the auspicious day of Rath Yatra, about 100 junior clerks working in various departments of the corporation were promoted as senior clerks. On this auspicious day, a wave of happiness was seen among the employees who got promoted. For the first time in the history of the corporation, 100 employees have been promoted simultaneously.

The pay grade also increased
According to the information received, Vadodara Municipal Corporation’s Vivig Ward and Zone Office, Water Supply. 100 employees working as Junior Clerks in various departments including Drainage, Housing, Security, Garden, Election, currently serving 19,900 to 63,200 pay matrix. Those employees have been ordered to be promoted in the pay matrix of Sr. Clerk cadre from 25,500 to 81,100 according to seniority by the D.Municipal Commissioner.

A mood of happiness
It may be mentioned here that the promotion of clerk category was pending for a long time. However, today, on the auspicious day of Rath Yatra, an atmosphere of happiness was seen in the corporation being promoted by the corporation.
