More than 95% of the tribal community lives in Dang district in the southern tip of Gujarat. Those who have been following traditional customs for years. In which some customs are beneficial for the society. While some evildoers and superstitions harm the people of the society. Even in today’s digital age, Bhagat Bhuwan currency is found in many parts of Dang district. A public awareness seminar was held today at Subir in Dang to eradicate superstition.
Dang has a large tribal population. Many families have fallen victim to the witchcraft here. A public awareness program was organized under the chairmanship of District Deputy Superintendent of Police SG Patil, Subir Taluka Panchayat President Budhubhai Kamdi. Women are mistaken for witches and subjected to various kinds of torture. To get out of which this seminar was organized. In which tribal leaders and villagers from the hinterland of Subir taluka were present and got information about superstition. PSI KK Chowdhury and staff worked hard to make this program a success.
