A meeting to review the performance of the possible storm management system in Junagadh district was held through video conference under the chairmanship of Gujarat State Chief Secretary Rajkumar. In this meeting, the Chief Secretary made necessary suggestions and also provided guidance.
In this meeting, the district collector gave details and said that no untoward incident has taken place in Junagadh district. All basic facilities have also been made available in 20 Cyclone Shelter Homes in Mangarol and 5 in Maliyahatina. Vigilance has been kept to ensure that water-electricity systems are also maintained in the area near Mangrol Maliyahati beach.
Around 25,000 food packets have also been prepared and delivered. A team of SDRF has been deployed in Lodge and a team of NDRF has been deployed in Mangrol. The Collector further said that under the continuous guidance of the Minister, the administrative system is working on war footing. State Minister Jagdish Vishwakarma, In-charge Secretary Manish Bharadwaj, MLA Sanjaybhai Kordia, Collector Anil Ranavasia, District Development Officer Mirant Parikh, Junagadh District Police participated in this video conference. Superintendent Ravi Teja Wasam Shetty, Mayor Gitaben Parmar, Leader Kiritbhai Patel, Additional Collector P. G. Patel were also present.
