Cases of robbery have come to light in Kalupur and Aslali of the city, in which a businessman from Hyderabad committed fraud after ordering goods from a businessman in Kalupur and not paying his money. While in another incident, a gang in Aslali had extorted money from the trader in the name of piecemeal delivery by placing an advertisement on social media to sell mobile phones. In both these incidents, the police registered a case and conducted further investigation.
11.24 lakh cheated by not paying traders
Hiranand Bachani, who lives in Sheelj, runs a garment shop with different firms in Kalupur. which supplies goods to traders in different cities and states. The payment has to be made to the merchant within 45 to 60 days. Last year in 2020, Rakesh Sharma, a businessman from Hyderabad, built the merchant’s trust by initially paying the payment before placing an order with him. After that, from the year 2020 to 2021, the Hyderabad trader ordered a total of 13.47 lakh worth of clothing goods and paid 2.23 lakh out of it and committed fraud by not paying the remaining 11.24 lakh traders. When the businessman even threatened that the person would not get the money despite repeated demands. Fed up, Hiranandbhai filed a fraud complaint against Rakesh Sharma in Kalupur police station and the police started an investigation.
48 thousand on the pretext of selling mobile phones
Dhruvikbhai Devani, who lives in Bhopal, runs a transport business in Aslali. He decided to buy a mobile after seeing an advertisement on a page called Smart Shopee on Instagram. A few days later, an unknown person called and said that you will have to pay the credit card charge and then the mobile will be delivered. Then Gathia committed fraud by not delivering the phone after collecting 48 thousand in pieces in the name of mobile delivery. The youth filed a complaint at the Aslali police station.
