Rajkot Municipal Corporation has resumed its campaign against tax defaulters. In which 8 more properties were sealed till today afternoon. While 6 were served with seizure notice, 1 tap connection was also disconnected. From April to date, the tax department has collected Rs. 207.69 crore has been recovered, it was stated in the weekly list of the municipality.

The municipality took action against the people for unpaid taxes
According to the instructions of Municipal Corporation Commissioner Anand Patel, 8 properties were sealed today and 1 tap connection was cut by the tax collection branch under the recovery campaign of the year 2023-24. Also, 6 properties were given tax seizure notices. In which an Assamese on Kotharia Road of Ward No. 16 whose tap connection is pending, Rs. 46200 was recovered. So giving notice to one unit on circle 150 feet road above Ward No.3 Rs. 16 lakhs tax was deposited.

Processed sealing and notice of properties
Apart from this giving notice to the shop in Rajalakshmi Avenue on Morbi Road of Ward No.4 Rs. 65 Thousand, Ward No.6 Na Brahmania Para, Bhimraonagar, Gokulnagar, Balaji Ind. Checks were deposited processing notices and seals in the area. A check was received by processing the seal at Kalavad Road, Ward No.10, 150 Feet Road, Mawadi Area 3, Ward No.12, Sorthiawadi 7/10, Ward No.16. In Ward No.13 also notice was given on 150 feet road.

By the tax department Rs. 207.69 crore was recovered
The tax revenue till date in the current financial year has been 207.69 crores. So the recovery team has started serving bill come demand notices to recover the outstanding tax in the current financial year. This operation is assy. Assisted by Manager Rajeev Gameti, Mayur Khimsuriya, Vivek Mehta, Niraj Vyas and all Ward Officers, all Ward Tax Inspectors. Commissioner Sameer Dhaduk and V.M. Actions are being taken under the guidance of Prajapati.
