However, just 22 days after that, heavy trimming of 7 year-old trees on Varachha’s AK Road without permission has sparked outrage among environmentalists. In this matter, the locals have written a demand to the municipal commissioner to take action against the culprits according to the Damage to Public Property Act.

While living in Sarthana, Jasoliya Hitesh said in the complaint that someone has done heavy trimming of 7 old trees near the gate of Sahaj Row House located on Vallabhacharya Road in Varachha. At present only the trunk remains. Locals have been preserving Adikham trees for years. These trees were a blessing to pedestrians. However, seeing the current condition of the trees, Malsk got up from 4 o’clock to serve the trees, and outrage has spread among the environmentalists. The trees near the society’s gate on the footpath have been carefully investigated as to who was growing them and at whose behest they were cut, and they have demanded to register a crime under the Saurashtra Tree Cutting Act and the Damage to Public Property Act.
