The Vadodara Dairy Manufacturing and Traders Association has alleged that 7,000 kg of adulterated cheese is arriving in Vadodara city early in the morning from Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh and has demanded action against such sellers. The Vadodara Dairy Manufacturing and Traders Association presented this to former Mayor and MLA Keur Rokdia and Keur Rokdia has also warned of strict action against vendors selling adulterated cheese.

No kind of checking is done
Preeti Unnithan, leader of Vadodara Dairy Manufacturing and Traders Association, said that adulterated paneer is coming from outside Vadodara. To stop that, we have called a meeting today. Vadodara city sells 10 thousand kg of cheese per day, out of which 7 thousand kg comes from outside Vadodara. Paneer comes to Vadodara city every morning. Which is used in hotels and catering without any kind of checking. Paneer comes to Vadodara city daily by bus and train from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Which is not checked at all.

3 types of cheese are made
He further said that according to FSSI cheese should be made from milk only. In which low fat is one and a half fat, medium fat is 3 fat and malai paneer is 5 fat. Malai Paneer cannot be afforded by hoteliers. We make medium fat paneer.

Compromise people’s health
They added that the samples that have been found in Vadodara city. There was no mixed cheese in it. But the samples failed due to medium fat cheese in it. The cheese made in Vadodara is pure. The cheese that comes from outside Vadodara is adulterated. Action should be taken against those who compromise people’s health. The adulterated cheese does not contain milk, chemicals are used in it. Palm oil is also used. Which is harmful to health.

Demand to take action
In Vadodara Corporation we have proposed that action should be taken against the sellers of adulterated paneer coming from outside. Even if the cheese of those people stops coming, we will deliver sufficient quantity of cheese to the city.

Warning of strict action by the MLA
Sayajiganj MLA Keur Rokadia said, action will be taken against the sellers of adulterated paneer coming from outside Vadodara city. If such cheese is found in Vadodara city too, we will take action against it too. I will convey the representation of the cheese sellers to the state government in this matter. Strict action will be taken against those who compromise people’s health.
