He expressed the fear of outbreak of epidemic if the issue of contaminated water in the eastern area is not resolved at the earliest. Apart from this, other MLAs also presented on issues including water.

Water tankers have to be ordered
In the Sankal Samiti meeting held today, the MLA of Dabhoi Shailesh Mehta made a presentation and said that I am an MLA of Dabhoi. But, being a corporator for years, people from my eastern area come to me for presentations. As many as 50 societies from L&T in the eastern region to Bapod Lake are getting contaminated water. The time has come for people to sell water tankers for the last fortnight. If the problem of polluted water is not solved soon, there is fear of epidemic outbreak.

Now the municipality will work
Apart from this, he also presented about the issues of water and drainage lines in the areas including Bhayli, Beel village which are in his constituency. Due to non-discharge of water in areas including Bhayli, Bill, water mixed with drainage is entering people’s houses. No street lights facility. There is danger of accidents. He also presented to him about setting up a sub station at Kalali. Municipal Commissioner and Deputy Municipal Commissioner have also visited Bhayli-Bil area. From today’s presentation, it seems that the municipality will now do the work.

500 to clean the well
Dharmendrasinh Vaghela, an independent MLA from Vaghodi, made a strong presentation regarding the drainage problem of people in Undera area. He said, people pay taxes. But, they are not compensated against taxes. There is a saline well in the Undera-Vemali area. People have to spend 500-500 rupees to clean the saline well. Apart from this, they made a presentation to resolve issues including drinking water, roads, street lights at the earliest. Apart from this, other MLAs also presented on issues including water, drainage, epidemics.

Officials urged to attend
A meeting of District Coordination Committee was also held today along with Vadodara Corporation. In the coordination meeting held under the chairmanship of District Collector Atul Gor, there were discussions about issues including water, roads, lights, copper. Heads of government offices have been urged by the Collector to stay at the headquarters on the fourth Thursday of Pratima. Keeping in view the welcome program organized by the Chief Minister, this urgent request has been made by the Collector during the meeting of the Grievance and Coordination Committee.

Instructions given by the Collector
Matters including government debt recovery, government employee pension cases, departmental investigation cases were discussed in this meeting. Apart from this, the submissions made by the public representatives regarding matters including pressures, facilities in public service centres, crematoriums, roads, canal cleaning and development of tourist places were discussed and the concerned officials were instructed by the Collector to resolve the issues.
