Known as the ancient capital for more than 1200 years, many kings built mythological temples in Patan during the reign period, which is still alive today. The Yatra Dham Development Board Gandhinagar has approved a total grant of Rs 36.50 crore in the last three years for the development of 14 religious temples in the district. In which the tender process for the operation of Dhinoj’s temple is pending, the tender process has been completed in other 13 temples. A grant of 10 crores has been approved by the Yatradham Board for the development of the temple of Nagardevi Kalika Mataji, the largest in the district.

All the temples of Patan have been placed in category K, now more than 60 lakhs will not get grant
The District Planning Department invites proposals for development works from ancient temples every year. Which was sent to the Department of Tourism and Pilgrimage and sanctioned grants were allotted. This year the government has stopped the process (resolution) of granting grants based on this proposal and the rule has been changed. Grant allocation has been planned by placing all the ancient and prestigious temples of the state in A, B, C category. 2.40 crores in A category, 1.20 crores in B category and 60 lakhs in C category.

In which all the temples of Patan have been included in ‘K’ category, now maximum 50 lakh civil works and 10 lakh solar works will not get grants to the temples of more than 60 lakhs. The sanctioned grant will be credited directly to the account of the trustees and not to the planning department.
