Cyclone Biporjoy damaged lines, poles and feeders of South Gujarat Power Company in several villages of Wagra taluka. Due to which some villages were covered in darkness. At 10.30 pm on Sunday night, Dilip Rathwa, who was working in Wagra DGVCL subdivision, received a complaint call. There was no light in Sachan, Pahaj and Mosman villages due to fault in the Mosman Jyoti village feeder.

On receiving the complaint, the electrical assistant took two other employees and reached the Jyotigram feeder. At 11 o’clock in the night they were cutting the section of the feeder and doing fault repairing work.

Then 4 people from Mosham village came in Eco Car GJ 16 CH 9384. Who got out of the car and started quarreling with the three electricians. They said that there are no lights in our village for 4 days, they held the electric worker’s fet and asked them not to enter the village, and they used abusive language and also used caste-related slurs.

Bharat Gohil, Dinesh Gohil, Ishwar Gohil and Kehar Patel of the village slapped and tussled with the three electricity workers. Who escaped from these four assailants and came to Wagra office. After reporting the incident to the superior officer, a case has been registered against the four attackers at the Wagra police station.
