Farmers of Patan district have become committed to producing toxin-free farm produce by adopting natural farming methods. 21,824 farmers adopted natural farming method in Patan district, in 48 clusters per gram panchayat in Patan district, farmers are being trained on natural farming method at home, thus a total of 48,784 farmers have been trained on natural farming in the district.

The state government is providing training on natural farming methods to the farmers by going to their doorsteps. 48784 farmers have been imparted training on natural agriculture till May-2023 under Atma project in Patan district. 21824 farmers in Patan district have adopted organic agriculture in 24,678 acres and committed to produce toxin free farm produce.

Atma Project Director D.M. Menat said that there are 475 gram panchayats in Patan district, in which 43 gram panchayats have 75 or more farmers practicing organic farming. While in 85 gram panchayats 51 to 75, while in 78 gram panchayats 26 to 50, while in 269 gram panchayats 01 to 25 farmers including 21,824 farmers are doing organic farming. At least 75 farmers in all gram panchayats of Patan district have taken up organic farming in this kharif season. In all village panchayats of Patan district, effective planning has been done by Atma to train farmers on natural farming by experts.

Among the 475 Gram Panchayats of Patan district, 13,166 farmers have been trained in natural agriculture through 609 training programs in the month of May. So far 48784 farmers have been trained in natural farming in the district. 5845 farmers have been paid under Desi cow maintenance assistance till March-2023 in the district.

11 farmers in the district are currently selling organic farm produce so that farmers can get a suitable market for selling their farm produce as compared to natural agriculture. From May-2023 in Patan district by creating a cluster of 10 villages each, farmers are being trained at home by expert farmers practicing organic farming. This campaign has yielded good results providing effective training at a very low (marginal) cost.
