World Yoga Day will be celebrated in grand style tomorrow in Surat. Early in the morning at 6:00 AM, a celebration will be held at the Y-Junction in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, in which a large number of 1.25 lakh people from across the city are going to gather, for which all kinds of preparations have been made by the administration.

21st June- A state level program to be held at Surat to celebrate ‘International Yoga Day’ will create a world record with 1.25 lakh citizens joining yoga practice at one place. Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel will preside over this state-level celebration, BJP state president and MP CR Patil, Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi will be present. Not only that, PM Narendra Modi will address the countrymen virtually at 6.40 am, which will be telecast live in programs held across the state.

Celebration on the theme of ‘One Earth, One Health’
Every year 21st June is celebrated as ‘International Yoga Day’ across the world. This year the whole world will be celebrating International Yoga Day on the theme ‘One Earth, One Health’. The state government has also organized various programs on the occasion of Yoga Day across the state. From Y-Junction to SVNIT Circle -4 km, Y-Junction to Ratnabhoomi Party Plot – up to 4 km, Similarly from Y-Junction to Surat Airport Gate – 4.5 km found about 10,000 citizens per 1 km ie 1, 25,000 citizens will participate in this exercise on a total path of 12.5 km. It is noteworthy that more than one lakh citizens have registered in just one day on the announced online link to join the program at the state level Surat.

Which roads were closed?
According to the notification, the main road from SVNIT Circle to ONGC Colony Naka (Opposite L&T Colony) will be closed. From SVNIT Circle to Kantilal Jewelers Parle Point Bridge going up and down and going up from Horse Run will be closed. From Y-Junction to Someshwar Circle to Ratnabhumi Party Plot, the main road will be closed in both directions. Main roads on both sides (including Anuvrat Dwar and Bhatar Bridge) from Y-Junction to Olive (Gandhi Kutir) Circle will be closed.

Alternative arrangements for transportation

  • As an alternative route to these restricted routes, the service road from SVNIT Circle to Y Junction will remain open in both directions.
  • From SVNIT Circle and from Umara, you can go from SK Park to Passport Office through three roads, from three roads behind Sharadayatan School, take a right turn at Chandni Chowk, from Surat Gymkhana to Ginger Hotel, to three roads in front of BSNL office.
  • Service road will be open from ONGC Colony Naka (Opposite L&T Colony) to Amor Hotel left Magdalla village inside Srinath Haveli, Valentine to SVNIT.
  • From SVNIT Circle to Umragam, Bhaltilak Circle, Umra-Pal Bridge to Pal Patia, Bhatha Village, Ichchapore, ONGC four roads to Tapi Bridge to KK Nagar.
  • From Airport to SK Nagar to Tapi Bridge, ONGC will be able to go to Ichchapore, Bhatha Village, Pal Patia, Star Bazaar, Gujarat Gas Circle to Athwagate by four roads.
  • From SVNIT Circle to Service Road, Kantilal Jewelers to Sargam Bridge, Parle Point to Ghod-Dod Road and Main Road to Athwagate.
  • From Sargam to Malhar Apartment via Service Road to SVNIT Circle from under Parle Point Bridge.
  • From Y-Junction to Someshwar Circle to Atomvrata Dwar Bridge, service road can be used in both directions.
  • Take a right turn from below the Atumavrat Dwar bridge, take a right turn from the Panas Canal four road to Akash Canal Road, Agam Shopping Center take a left turn from the four road, then take a right turn to SK Nagar Airport.
  • From under the Atumavrat Dwar bridge, from Shyamdham Mandir, take a right turn from VIP Road, Akash Canal Road, Agam Shopping Center, take a left turn from Char Road, then take a right turn and go to SK Nagar Airport.
  • Airport to SK Nagar to Sachin Highway Road, V.I.P. From road T-point, Gal Colony four road via Vijayalakshmi to Akash Canal Road Shyamdham Mandir to Althan canal take left turn at Soham circle left turn Althan canal road via Breadliner to enter CT.
  • Airport to SK Nagar to Sachin Highway Road, V.I.P. From Road T-point, Gal Colony Char Road, Vijayalakshmi to Akash Canal Road, Shyamdham Mandir to Althan Canal Char Road, Kailashnagar, Journalist Colony, take a left turn and enter the City from Gandhikutir.
  • The road under Atumvrata Dwar Bridge will remain open for traffic and Breadliner Circle will remain open and traffic coming from Navjivan Circle will be able to move from Breadliner Circle to Soham Circle using the service road.
