Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have recently introduced their newborn son, Riot Rose, to the world in a rare photoshoot. The couple, whose real names are Robyn Rihanna Fenty and Rakim Mayers, posed with their new baby and their firstborn, RZA, in a photo shared by photographer Miles Diggs on Instagram.
Rihanna had previously revealed her second pregnancy during her Super Bowl performance earlier in the year, and they welcomed their baby boy in May 2022. The couple has been quite private about their family life, only sharing a few glimpses of their children online. These new photos are the first public images of Riot Rose. Rihanna affectionately referred to them as “The Mayers Boyz” in her comment on the Instagram post.
Hints about the baby’s name might have been dropped during the Met Gala in May. Rihanna wore a white Valentino gown with roses, and A$AP Rocky donned a red kilt similar to one he wore in his music video for the song “RIOT.”
A source revealed that the middle name, Rose, has significance for both parents. A$AP Rocky has a fondness for flowers and enjoys having fresh flowers in their home, as well as decorating with them. He even had real flowers in his grill once. Additionally, roses are known to be Rihanna’s favorite flowers.
Rocky celebrated RZA’s first birthday earlier with an Instagram post in May, referring to RZA as his “1st BORN.” The couple and RZA had also graced the cover of British Vogue in February, sharing images from the photoshoot on Rihanna’s Instagram.
It’s clear that Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are cherishing their family life while maintaining a level of privacy, and they’ve now given their fans a glimpse of their adorable new addition, Riot Rose.
