Supra Teams Up with Google to Enhance Real-Time Price Feeds for Financial Markets
Miami, Florida – October 23rd, 2023 – Chainwire
Supra, a prominent provider of secure and scalable oracles for decentralized applications (dApps), has announced a strategic partnership with Google Cloud aimed at delivering swift and dependable price feeds to both Web2 and Web3 financial markets.
This collaboration will empower Supra to leverage Google Cloud’s robust infrastructure and expertise to offer dApps real-time access to price data from diverse sources, including exchanges, OTC markets, and various data providers. By doing so, dApps can construct more reliable and efficient trading applications closely aligned with the real financial world.
Joshua Tobkin, CEO of Supra, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We are honored to partner with Google Cloud to bring our oracle technology to various decentralized financial markets. This partnership will allow us to scale our operations and reach a wider audience of dApp developers. We believe that this partnership will help accelerate the adoption of decentralized applications in the financial sector.”
A Google Cloud spokesperson commented, “We are constantly seeking ways to assist our customers in maximizing the potential of their data. This partnership with Supra will enable dApp developers to access real-time price data from a variety of sources, facilitating the creation of more reliable and efficient decentralized finance applications.”
The initial focus of the partnership is to provide dApps with access to price data from major exchanges, including Binance, Coinbase, Gate, Gemini, OKX, and Kraken. Supra will utilize Google Cloud’s Pub/Sub service to ensure dependable and robust delivery of real-time price data to dApps, allowing them to build applications capable of responding to market fluctuations with minimal latency.
Future plans for the collaboration involve expanding into other types of data, such as order book data and historical price data. This will enable dApps to create a wider range of applications, including market-making and arbitrage applications.
The partnership represents a significant advancement for both Supra and Google Cloud, with the shared goal of accelerating the adoption of decentralized applications within the financial sector, making them more accessible to a broader community of developers with enhanced speed and lower latency.
