The letter also gives the address of Bengaluru and the name of the Mudra Loan Scheme is also stamped. It is also claimed that this is an approval letter for a currency loan of one lakh rupees.
What is the content of this viral letter??
Nowadays a letter is going viral on social media through WhatsApp or mail. This viral letter fulfills almost all the conditions of being an official letter. On this there is a mention of ‘Pradhan Mantri Mudra Loan Yojana’ and the Ministry of Finance is also discussed. It gives a Bengaluru address and is described as an approval letter. This approval letter calls for repayment of a loan of Rs 1 lakh. NEFT is mentioned for payment and related items are written by making appropriate box at the bottom of the letter.
What was found after the investigation??
PIB has verified the authenticity of this letter. After his investigation, he has termed the letter as fake, misleading and false. In his tweet, he has said that the Finance Ministry has neither issued any such letter nor there is any tradition of issuing such a letter. The PIB has said that the letter is fake and could be a fraud scheme.
