Apart from this, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has announced to run sleeper Vande Bharat trains till March 2024.
Due to this Vande Bharat train was stopped
Railways stopped Vande Bharat running on Nagpur (Maharashtra) to Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh) route. Regarding this decision of the railways, it has been said in the media report that the semi high speed train had to be canceled on this route due to severe shortage of passengers. As per the notification issued by the Railway Board, the rakes of Vande Bharat train have been replaced by Tejas Express.
Currently Vande Bharat train is running on this route
Let us tell you that Tejas Express was the fastest train at the time it was launched. But now Vande Bharat has taken its place. Currently, Vande Bharat trains are running on 18 routes in the country. But the Nagpur-Bilaspur route had the least traffic. PM Modi launched Vande India on Nagpur-Bilaspur route in December 2022.
A report also revealed that the low ridership of the Vande Bharat Express is due to high fares. Executive class fare on Vande Bharat Express on Bilaspur-Nagpur route was Rs.2,045. Whereas, AC chair car ticket price per person is Rs. was 1,075.
So far many Vande Bharat trains have been inaugurated in the country. To give a new direction to the progress of Indian Railways, the government is running Vande Bharat Express on a new route. With the operation of Vande Bharat train, people will be able to travel long distances in less time. Let it be known that Vande Bharat train for Delhi-Bhopal was inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi recently. A few days ago, PM also inaugurated metro trains for Delhi and Jaipur.
